Even one Senate seat has lot of potential to do good, however not fixing shit is profitable in politics, says S.E. Cupp in her sit-down with Chelsea and Evan McMullin at Netflix. She seems right. Several age-old problems ranging from broken immigration to healthcare to gun violence to the criminal justice reform to social security & medicare, everything have been left lingering for years. Do you agree with S.E.? Weigh in your thoughts in comments section below Video Courtesy: Netflix

By its nature, Government should be slow and cumbersome with people debating all the time about big pieces of legislation says S.E. Cupp in her sit-down with Chelsea and Evan McMullin She is right. Lawmaking processes are intended to be slow. Decision making on legislation that impacts lives of millions for generations has to be vetted thoroughly. Let us know your feedback in comments section on whether you agree Courtesy: Netflix In 92Y series "Can This Generation Revive the GOP", S.E. Cupp sits alongside Tim Miller and Peter Hamby to talk about Trump, politics, policies, and rhetorics While acknowledging that the rhetoric on Trump is overfeed and there is a hysteria around everything he does, S.E., says "I worry about the policy, but I worry just as much about the rhetoric. Think it is corrosive. It’s toxic" When she says that I see where she is coming from. It’s not much different than Romney’s opEd at Washington Post earlier this year about character of the president. Speaking out against things you don't agree with is healthy in a democracy. Remember Dr Martin Luther King's response to Stokely Carmichael's Black power speech at the Mississippi's March against fear? MLK regarded Carmichael's speech as unwise and rejected it as it hurt the cause and had potential to derail the Civil rights movement. What we need is more Dr.Kings within every organization, lobby group and political party including the GOP to reflect upon ourselves. S.E. Cupp is doing exactly that. S.E. expected that post 2016 elections, Republican party would steer Trump to it’s agenda. Instead it is Trump who became the center of gravity he steered the party toward his impulses and urges. She rightfully says that she won’t call Trump's ideas an agenda. Aptly calls it impulses and urges. As a traditional conservative I can feel that it is a big deal for her In a sit-down at 92Y along with Tim Miller and Peter Hamby, S.E. Cupp distinguishes Republican party from the conservative movement. Even at its peak of success when the party held WH, Senate and House, she says "I distinguish the party from the conservative movement". Also adds that while the Republican party may have done well, the conservative movement is on coma. She doesn't feel that the movement is dead, but feels that it's dormant on life support. As a fellow, old-school conservative, couldn't agree more. S.E. Cupp expressed her views 2-3 years ago at the peak of conservative victory. As usual her foresight is impeccable. This is my favorite clip of S.E. Cupp standing up to bullying and shaming of the leftists in panel for defending conservatism and free-market principles. I loved the way she stood up to them. Meanwhile outside the panel, comments on this show hating S.E. Cupp (both on social media and on original video posted on HBO) are downright nasty. Most of them abused and objectified her. HBO even made a video where S.E. Cupp shrugged off those comments as Haters gonna hate Her citing the economic arguments that raising the minimum wage will raise the cost of labor and will hurt the labor is not totally discredited as the other folks in the panel said. There are lot of studies with compelling evidences of its impact to employment. Again with five years since she made the statement with more data to speak for itself, S.E. Cupp is vindicated. For those who are interested to read further, here are few links to articles below. Of-course, do watch this clip of S.E. Cupp as well
Again this video is from five years ago from Bill Maher's HBO real-time show. When asked about one executive order that Obama should pass, S.E. Cupp spontaneously answered "Keystone pipeline" In context of democrats keeping the Senate (or losing it), it turned out prophetic in a hindsight. Nothing new for S.E. Cupp. People who reject her realize in hindsight how accurate she has been. In this episode of HBO real-time with Bill Maher from five years ago S.E. Cupp comes out strongly against death penalty Here SE says, "For me as a conservative if I support life, I should support kind of across the board" Again these are the reasons why I am a fan of S.E.Cupp. She is principled, ethical and consistent conservative. Proud to be your fan S.E. SE Cupp images from Jimmy Kimmel's show S.E. and Evan McMullin appeared for an interview on Netflix with Chelsea.
Few expressive moments from that interview captured here for her fans. Don't forget to watch the interview. We posted a link to complete interview on our explore section. |
